“Through our Own Lens”: An Invitation to Join Holocaust Educators at Yad Vashem

Holocaust survivors, scholars, educators and artists, representing four generations and 50 countries are gathering this week at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem. The conference, titled, “Through Our Own Lens: Reflecting on the Holocaust from Generation to Generation,” will engage participants in educational, intergenerational and multicultural dialogue around the idea of preserving memory and testimony.

Participants are joining from across the globe, including Israel, China, the United States and Canada, Europe, Central and South America and even Namibia. They are among the most notable scholars and experts in Holocaust education, memorial and memory, photographers and key leaders in the use of primary sources.

Taking place from July 7-10th, the conference will offer live streaming of several panels and discussions. For those who are unable to join in Jerusalem, the live streaming will be available on the following days and times (Israel time):

Tuesday, July 8th: 8:45 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Wednesday, July 9th: 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Thursday, July 10th 8:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
